complex search and replace operations in CAT tools.
They are widely used because they are
considered a powerful and ubiquitous tool for manipulating text and data
employed by many editors.
Regular expressions are used in: search
for a match in the instance sentence, search for an appropriate example in the translation
memory and finally in the transfer of the instance sentence into its
equivalent.

Introductory Level

This course provides practical knowledge about the key features of SDL Trados
Studio that users need to know to get started and translate their first
document.
SDL Trados Studio –
Intermediate Level
On-line: April 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On-site: April 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This course is to go beyond the basics of SDL Trados Studio and take their
translation environment to the next level by creating projects, delivering
return packages and exporting and importing translation memories.
SDL Trados Studio –
Advanced Level
On-line: April 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On-site:April 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Attendants will learn more about advanced SDL features to work even more
efficiently. Term bases, apps for converting glossaries into formats supported
by SDL Trados Studio, and compatible QA tools are topics covered at this level.

taken individually at a cost of US$100 each. However, it is highly recommended
to take the three levels to become a proficient user of SDL Trados Studio. The
course is based on practice, so you will receive instructions to download the
material and free software you need to attend the courses. The price for
on-site or online courses is the same and includes all the material used by the
instructor.
